How can I renew my trademark?
A trademark lasts for 10 years. To keep your trademark in force you must renew it on the 10th anniversary of the filing date and every 10 years after that.
If you renew your trademark yourself it will cost:
- £200 for one class of goods or services
- £50 for each extra class
You will be written to 3 months before the renewal date. If you filed through an agent- your agent will be written and they will contact you directly. You do not have to renew it and can choose to surrender your trade mark at any time. You can renew your mark up to 6 months before the renewable and for an extra fee of £50.00, up to 6 months after. There is the possibility to restore you trademark up to 12 months after but you have to provide evidence as to why this has not happened, along with a £100 extra fee. A trademark can be renewed online:
- Fast, efficient service
- Prompt online payment
- Timely email receipt acknowledgements
- Email of Certificate of Renewal (attached as a PDF) once payment is cleared
If you would like us to renew your trademark we will charge £150.00+VAT on top of the official office fees.
