A quick announcement from the UK Intellectual Property Office about an update to their trade mark eAlerts system, which allows you to keep up to date with your trade mark.

The trade mark eAlert system will be replaced with a ‘Track a trade mark’ service.

This will be a free tracking system which will allow you to receive notifications about specific events occurring to a trade mark.

This can be for either a UK trade mark or one registered internationally.

This new system will function the same as the old system but will have a new look and style.

The new system is now in effect, from 27th April 2017.

If you have any feedback about the system, do not hesitate to contact the UK IPO through the email address feedback@ipo.gov.uk
